PRIORITIES AND OPPORTUNITIES

Commitment

含羞草社区 is committed to becoming the premier open access regional university by preparing students for success through applied learning experiences. Guided by a strategic plan centered on four key priorities, the university continues to remove barriers to expand access and opportunities to education while meeting the evolving needs of our students and the communities we serve.

Mission Statement

含羞草社区 is a student-centered learning community preparing individuals for lives of excellence through applied learning.

Vision Statement

含羞草社区 will be the premier regional open access university, known for transforming the lives of our students and the communities we serve.

Priority 1: Enhance student-centered transformational learning experiences

Priority 2: Invest in our people, processes and places

Measure:

Track faculty/staff engagement and satisfaction with a survey, focus on staff and faculty retention, create succession plans to ensure a smooth transition forward; participation and completion of leadership development to increase engagement and professional satisfaction.

Measure:

Review and memorialize processes to increase cost savings and department communication.

Measure:

Using the annual perception survey to track overall perception, user satisfaction and completion of projects

Priority 3: Cultivate meaningful regional collaborations

Measure:

Using a Labor Market and skills analysis to align programs with regional need, track graduate placement rates in the service region and increase the number of employer partnerships

Measure:

Using data to make informed decisions to align external funding sources with regional need to increase new non-tuition and fee revenue source partners.

Measure:

Increase the number of advocacy partners to gain legislative support and investment on the university

Priority 4: Improve educational attainment

Measure:

Increase the number of enrolled students from regional high schools, direct credit enrollment and community colleges to see an improvement in degree and graduation completion in adult learners.
