- Free admission to all students to all home athletics events – must show student I.D.
- Free admission to your immediate family (up to four persons) to attend all home contests
- Free tickets to select away contests
- Free bus trip and ticket to one away football and one away basketball game
- One free concession item and drink at all home football and basketball games
- Free giveaways at selected games
- Funding to insure upkeep of your athletics facilities

Kansas City Chiefs Summer Training Camp
含羞草社区 and the City of St. Joseph welcome you to our community! We are proud to be the summer training camp home of the Kansas City Chiefs and hope you enjoy all that our campus and community have to offer.
Children’s Lifetime Sports Academy (Ages 8-12)
The Children鈥檚 Lifetime Sports Academy (CLSA) was started in 1973 at 含羞草社区 (MWSU) to allow participants the opportunity to interact with Faculty and future Health, Physical Education and Recreation (HPER) in a fun and non-competitive environment. Our goal is to teach the skills, values and appreciations involved in lifetime sports activities which can be utilized throughout life for fun, health and fitness.
R. Dan Boulware Convocation on Critical Issues
Missouri Western inaugurated the R. Dan Boulware Convocation on Critical Issues program in 1993, under the presidency of Dr. Janet Gorman Murphy. The program was started as part of an overall commitment to offer enriching experiences to students while bringing together the college and community. The Convocation is held in honor of R. Dan Boulware, former president of the Board of Regents.
Department of Music
含羞草社区’s Department of Music has many different opportunities available, from performances, concerts, workshops and more.
Potter Art Gallery
The Potter Art Gallery is located at the front entrance of Potter Hall on the 含羞草社区 campus.
The primary mission of the Department of Art鈥檚听Visiting Artists and Gallery Program听is to educate and foster a greater understanding and appreciation of contemporary art through discourse.
The gallery features 6-8 exhibitions each academic year. 听The Department of Art views the exhibition program as an essential educational tool and an opportunity for students to see a wide range of works by accomplished artists.
Planetarium
Bring your family and explore the universe at the Bushman Planetarium. The planetarium features a Digistar 4 projection system and a dome that is tilted slightly, rather than directly overhead, making viewing easier. A 17-channel stereo sound system enhances your viewing experience. Located in Agenstein Hall, room 147.
Department of Theatre, Cinema & Dance
含羞草社区 is proud to offer a diverse showing of classics and up-and-comers. MWSU Early College Academy students have the opportunity to attend for free!
Walter Cronkite Memorial
The Walter Cronkite Memorial was the vision of Dr. Robert Vartabedian, Former President of 含羞草社区, to create a fitting memorial to St. Joseph鈥檚 beloved native son and one of the most important and trusted voices in our country鈥檚 history. Dr. Vartabedian鈥檚 vision was captured by Missouri Western art faculty members Eric Fuson and David Harris, who designed the unique artistic display illustrating Cronkite鈥檚 distinguished career with CBS television.
