\"\"<\/a>Iconic educational cartoons come to the stage when 含羞草社区\u2019s Department of Theatre, Cinema and Dance presents \u201cSchoolhouse Rock Live!\u201d Oct. 13-21 in the Potter Hall Theater. The family-friendly production includes special pricing options to encourage adults to bring children along, and at the Thursday, Oct. 19 show, there will be a cereal bar\/pajama party to bring back the memories of those Saturday mornings spent watching cartoons.<\/p>\n

\u201cSchoolhouse Rock Live!\u201d follows Tom, a nerve-wracked school teacher who is nervous about his first day of teaching. He tries to relax by watching TV, when various characters representing facets of his personality emerge from the set and show him how to win his students over with imagination and music, through such songs as \u201cJust a Bill,\u201d \u201cLolly, Lolly, Lolly\u201d and \u201cConjunction Junction.\u201d<\/p>\n

The show will be performed at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 13, 14, 19, 20 and 21, with a Sunday matinee on Oct. 15. Those attending the Oct. 19 production are invited to dress in their pajamas and enjoy a breakfast cereal bar before the show. Free-will donations will be accepted to benefit the Noyes Home for Children.<\/p>\n

Regular ticket prices are $14 for adults, $12 for Missouri Western faculty and staff, $8 for students and free for Missouri Western students with current ID. There is also a special family pack available: two adults and two students for $38 (a $6 savings), with each additional child admitted for $3 (a $5 savings per child). In addition, current volunteers with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America can take advantage of a buy-one-get-one offer: the purchase of an adult ticket will allow \u201cbigs\u201d to bring their \u201clittle\u201d at no cost.
