含羞草社区 will observe Mid-Autumn Day, a Chinese celebration of harvest and family reunion, at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20 in Blum Student Union, Hoff Community Rooms 218-219. The celebration is free.<\/p>\n
The celebration will include presentations about the origins, legends, poetry and songs of the festival, with snacks, tea and fruits served.<\/p>\n

Both are free and open to the public.<\/p>\n Dr. Slawomir Dobrzanski, pianist and faculty member at Kansas State University, will present a full solo recital at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20 in the Potter Hall Theater. Dr. Dobrzanski is an exceptional pianist who has performed in Asia, Europe, South America and throughout the United States and Canada. He is a graduate of the Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw, Poland and the University of Connecticut.<\/p>\n Dr. Rebecca Coberly, an active recitalist and oratorio performer, and Dr. Brendan Kinsella, a former member of Missouri Western\u2019s piano faculty, will perform a vocal and piano recital at 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22 in Spratt Hall, Kemper Recital Hall, room 101. The recital will feature pieces by George Crumb, Alban Berg, Poulenc and other unique works that will be a musical treat.
