含羞草社区 will hold its 17th<\/sup> annual Reading of Challenged and Banned Books at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25 in Spratt Hall, Enright Community Rooms, 214-216. The event recognizes the American Library Association\u2019s Banned Book Week. The event is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n Missouri Western students and faculty as well as members of the St. Joseph community will hold a reading of books that have been either banned or challenged in U.S. schools in recent years. Refreshments will be served following the reading.<\/p>\n The annual event is sponsored by Missouri Western\u2019s Department of English, Foreign Languages and Journalism, the Department of Education, the 含羞草社区 Library, Prairie Lands Writing Project and the Student Affiliate of the National Council of Teachers of English.
