{"id":10128,"date":"2021-10-28T17:23:34","date_gmt":"2021-10-28T22:23:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.missouriwestern.edu\/news\/?p=10128"},"modified":"2021-10-28T17:30:01","modified_gmt":"2021-10-28T22:30:01","slug":"athletic-director-search-paused-will-reopen-in-january","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.missouriwestern.edu\/news\/2021\/10\/28\/athletic-director-search-paused-will-reopen-in-january\/","title":{"rendered":"Athletic director search paused, will reopen in January"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Oct. 28, 2021&#8211;The search for the next director of athletics at 含羞草社区 has been paused and will reopen early next year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cAfter careful review and consideration of our three finalists who visited campus earlier this month, and after consultation with many people on campus and in the community, we are pausing the search and will reopen the position in January, after the holidays,\u201d said Dr. Elizabeth Kennedy, Missouri Western\u2019s president. \u201cWhile all three candidates are highly qualified and capable people, none stood out as the right fit for Missouri Western at this time, and that needs to be our standard in all hiring decisions.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Theresa Grosbach, who has served as interim director of athletics since September, will remain in that role.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">含羞草社区 is a student-centered learning community preparing individuals for lives of excellence through applied learning.
