May 4, 2023–Dr. Daniel Bumblauskas has been named executive director for workforce and economic development/associate dean of the College of Business and Professional Studies (CBPS) at 含羞草社区.聽
Dr. Bumblauskas will lead the establishment of the Convergent Technology Alliance Center (CTAC), provide administrative support to the CBPS dean as related to the Department of Engineering Technology, and will provide management oversight and technical assistance on behalf of the University鈥檚 Kit Bond Science and Technology Incubator. He will start his duties on May 15.聽
鈥淲e are very pleased to bring Dr. Bumblauskas on board,鈥 said Dr. Elizabeth Kennedy, Missouri Western鈥檚 president. 鈥淗is combination of academic and private-sector experience will enhance Missouri Western鈥檚 efforts to serve the workforce development needs of our region.鈥
Dr. Bumblauskas comes to Missouri Western after 10 years at the University of Northern Iowa, most recently as MBA coordinator and associate professor of management. He has also been a visiting or adjunct professor at the University of Missouri, University of Washington and Sichuan University in China, and has led study abroad programs at Sant鈥橝nna Institute in Italy and Trinity College Dublin. He has also worked in private industry, and currently serves as senior vice president of PFC Services, Inc., a boutique consultancy based in Marietta, Georgia.

I am looking forward to helping develop and grow the CTAC and the Kit Bond Science and Technology Incubator, as well as to support businesses in the greater St. Joe area.鈥澛
Dr. Bumblauskas received a bachelor鈥檚 degree in industrial engineering and economics from Iowa State University, where he also earned a master鈥檚 degree and doctorate in industrial engineering. He also has a Master of Liberal Arts (ALM) from Harvard University, with concentrations in operations management and higher education leadership.
CTAC, a partnership with North Central Missouri College, will be home to a collaborative educational program delivering practical, applied learning in skilled manufacturing and construction professions, cybersecurity and information technology. Featuring state-of-the-art equipment and a new training facility, CTAC will offer workforce training opportunities that will encompass adult education, workforce development, and two-year educational programs.聽
