The Adult Education and Literacy Program at the St. Joseph School District and the Western Institute at º¬Ðß²ÝÉçÇø are now accepting nominations for the 2018 Roy Blunt Literacy Citation. The award will be presented at a special event on the Missouri Western campus in April.
Any individual, group, business or organization whose volunteer literacy activities benefit St. Joseph or northwest Missouri in a substantial, important or unique way is eligible. Students receiving course credit or compensation for their literacy efforts are only eligible if their volunteer service extends beyond course requirements.
To nominate a volunteer, fill out the nomination form, available at griff.vn/Blunt2018 and return it to the Western Institute by 4 p.m. March 16.
