The Department of Theatre, Cinema and Dance in the School of Fine Arts at ߲ will hold open auditions for the upcoming production of “Spring Awakening” starting at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9 in the Potter Hall Theater.

Those auditioning are asked to prepare a 60-second monologue showing some range of teenage angst (and also suppressing that feeling) and a 32-bar cut of a rock-style song. Please do not sing from the show. There will also be a movement call at the audition, so dress appropriately.

Callbacks are at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10.

“Spring Awakening” is a rock opera for mature audiences that opened on Broadway in 2006. It will be produced at Missouri Western Feb. 23 through March 3.
