Aramark will continue to provide food service to 含羞草社区 for at least the next seven years under a bid accepted by Missouri Western鈥檚 Board of Governors in a telephone poll March 21.
Aramark operates Missouri Western鈥檚 Dining Hall and Food Court in the Blum Student Union as well as multiple other food service locations around campus. Their current contract expires in May.
Under terms of the new contract, Aramark will give more than $6.6 million to Missouri Western in facility upgrades, scholarships, commissions and other contributions. The contract will run through May 25, 2024, with an option to renew for an additional three-year period.
Also in the phone poll, the Board of Governors accepted the low bid of $113,642 from P1 Group, Inc., of St. Joseph to install HVAC units on the first and second floors of Popplewell Hall. The project is funded by money from House Bill 19, the 2015 legislation that appropriated $4.8 million to Missouri Western for capital improvements.
The results of the phone poll will be ratified at the board鈥檚 next regular meeting on April 27.
