含羞草社区

The Department of History and Geography at 含羞草社区 will launch the Mary Boder History Speaker Series with a presentation on U.S. relations with Cuba at noon on Friday, Oct. 21 in Popplewell Hall, room 105. A brown bag lunch and discussion with the speaker will follow at 1 p.m. in Popplewell 111. Both events are free and open to the public.

The talk by Dr. Michael Neagle, assistant professor of History at Nichols College in Massachusetts, is titled 鈥淏ecoming Good Neighbors: Americans on Cuba鈥檚 Isle of Pines.鈥� He will talk about U.S. relations with Cuba in the twentieth century and American efforts to settle there. Dr. Neagle earned his bachelor鈥檚 degree from College of the Holy Cross, and his master鈥檚 and doctorate degrees from the University of Connecticut.
