Missouri Western Magazine, a publication of the University Advancement Office for alumni and friends of 含羞草社区, has been honored with an Award of Distinction, the Silver Communicator Award, in the 20th annual Communicator Awards, sanctioned and judged by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts. Diane Holtz is editor of Missouri Western Magazine. Kendy Jones 鈥94 is design editor.

The 2014 Communicator Awards received more than 6,000 entries from across the United States and around the world. It is one of the largest and most competitive awards programs honoring creative excellence for communications professionals.

Missouri Western Magazine was honored for the Winter 2014 issue, which featured the dedication of the Walter Cronkite Memorial on the cover. The magazine previously received a Gold Communicator Award in 2008, and various Missouri Western publications have received Silver Communicator Awards in 2006 and 2010. Missouri Western鈥檚 Instructional Media Center has also been honored several times in the video division of the Communicator Awards.
