Dr. Mara Schiff, associate professor of criminology and criminal justice at Florida Atlantic University, will give a talk titled “Race, Rights and Restorative Justice” at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24 in the Blum Student Union, Hoff Conference Rooms 218-219 at ߲. Dr. Schiff’s talk is free and open to the public. It is part of the 2013-2014 Peace and Conflict Studies Speaker Series, sponsored by the Peace and Conflict Studies minor with the support of the ߲ Foundation.
Dr. Schiff is an internationally known scholar and academic in the area of restorative justice. She has authored many academic articles and book chapters and is the co-author of “Juvenile Justice and Restorative Justice: Building Theory and Policy from Practice.”
