When Evan Ross decided to pursue a master\u2019s degree, he wanted to make sure it would not only expand his knowledge and opportunities, but advance his professional career. He found what he was looking for in Missouri Western\u2019s TESOL (Teaching English to Students of Other Languages) program.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a growing field and it is recognized internationally,\u201d he said. \u201cI was very excited when I learned Missouri Western offered it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Evan, who teaches speech and theatre at Robidoux Middle School in St. Joseph, said the courses for his degree are online, but being able to meet with his professors face-to-face was a bonus.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey had very high expectations and they challenged me, and that is what I wanted,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Evan noted that it was also very easy to enroll in the program and get his questions answered.<\/p>\n
